1. Introduction

FMS inspections are a critical component of maintaining a safe workplace. They help in identifying potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and mitigating risks. 2. Inspection Coverage
Our safety inspection services cover a wide range of areas and systems within your facility, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation. This is designed to cover the facilities’ responsibilities related to safety inspections of different locations and systems and does not cover Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of equipment/systems.
2.1 Areas Inspected
- Patient Care Areas: Diagnostic rooms, outpatient clinics, critical care units, inpatient wards, surgery and procedure areas, isolation rooms.
- Administrative Offices: Office spaces, meeting rooms, and support areas.
- Third-Party Entities: Coffee shops, contractor offices, and other facilities within the premises.
- Emergency Command and Control Rooms: Assessment of readiness and functionality.
- Emergency Exits and Evacuation Routes: Ensuring clear and accessible pathways and assembly points.
- Parking Lots and Buildings: Evaluating safety and accessibility.
- Outdoor Areas: Pavements, accessibility, and outdoor equipment safety.
- Laboratories: Chemical safety, equipment maintenance, and proper storage.
- Pharmacies: Ensuring proper handling and storage of medications.
- Kitchen and Food Service Areas: Sanitation, equipment safety, and fire prevention measures.
- Specialized Rooms: Laser and optical radiation rooms, M.E.P. areas (Electrical Rooms, MV, LV, distribution, generator, transformer rooms), data and server rooms, and more.
2.2 Equipment or Systems Inspected
- Fire Safety Systems: Automatic fire suppression systems, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, fire hose cabinets, fire rated doors, fire pumps.
- Safety Equipment: Emergency eye wash/shower stations, emergency lights, exit signs, lightning arrestors, evacuation equipment.
- Mechanical and Electrical Systems: HVAC systems, electrical panels, boilers, transformers, generators etc.
- Life Safety Systems: Smoke management systems, life safety barriers, delayed exit devices.
- Miscellaneous: Sliding glass doors, plenum spaces, walk-in freezers, security posts, smoking areas.
2.3 Signage Audit
- Safety Signage: Evaluating the adequacy and visibility of safety signs.
- Directional and Traffic Signage: Ensuring proper guidance for safe movement within the facility.
- Accessibility Signage: Compliance with accessibility standards.
3. Inspection Frequency
Inspections can be conducted on a [daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual] basis as per applicable regulations and/or standards.
4. Inspection Services Preparation
- Review Documentation: Review Facility Management & Safety program, policies, procedures, life safety drawings and other relevant documents.
- Orientation: Attending orientation with Client Safety Officer/FMS Manager.
- Joint Tours and Discussions: Conduct joint tours with Client Safety Inspectors to review and update the list of systems and equipment to be inspected.
- Inspection Schedule Preparation: Prepare and obtain approval for the inspection schedule in compliance with applicable national and international standards and regulations.
- Checklist Preparation: Develop dedicated checklists for each area/unit/device/system/equipment as per the most stringent requirements.
5. Reporting
We provide detailed inspection reports following each inspection visit. Our reports include:
- Monthly Summary Report: Detailed findings of the inspection with identified hazards, non-compliance issues, recommendations for corrective actions with risk priority.
- Quarterly and Annual KPI Reports: Summary reports and performance improvement suggestions.
- Digitized Reporting Solution: A digitized solution for Client Facility Department to track inspection progress, review checklists, and comments which will be accessible 24/7.
- Follow-Up Reports: Tracking the status of closed issues and updates in the reporting portal.
6. Corrective Actions
Upon receipt of the inspection report, the client will be responsible for implementing necessary corrective actions within specified timelines. NuraFire FMS Consultants will offer assistance and guidance in addressing identified issues upon request and do follow-up visits to ensure adequate corrective measures have been implemented.
7. Compliance and Quality Assurance
